Ask a person's name in respected way
When you ask the elders' name, use: 您贵姓?
It is a way of asking family name. Chinese people always ask respected people for family name and then add the working position after it. Such as 李先生 Mr. Lee, 长老师 teacher Zhang, etc...
The answer is: 我姓+surname。我姓李:My surname is Lee, and sometimes he/she also tell his/her full name after that, 我叫李长河: My full name is Lee Chang He, when you want to tell someone your full name, say: 我叫+your full name
Chinese greetings
To say hello in Chinese, it is quite easy:
您好:for respected person.
你好:for friend and others, normal way.
To say hello with many people, just say:
你们好!
您:you in respected way.
你:you in normal way.
好:good, healthy
